Get window Action(Power Automate Desktop)
Make the window a variable for use in other actions.
How to use
From "Actions", "UI Automation", "Windows", Drag "Get window".
Set parameters.
Parameter
Get window
Specifies the window to retrieve.
- Specific window. Specifies an additional window to be specified.
- Foreground window. Get the foremost window.
UI Element
Specify only if "Specific window" is selected.
Specifies the window to be variable.
The following pops up when you click on the input field.
If you have already registered a UI element, select the object,If not registered, click the "Add UI element" button.
Hover the mouse over the menu item you wish to select when the next window appears.
When you hover the mouse over it, it will be surrounded by a red frame.
Then hold down the Ctrl key and click.
The input field should appear as shown in the following figure (the text will vary depending on the UI element you have selected).
Bring window to Front
Specify only when "Specific window" is selected.
If ON, the variable window is moved to the forefront.
Fail window isn't found
Specify only if "Specific window" is selected.
If ON, an error occurs without waiting.
If OFF, it waits for a specified number of seconds.
Timeout
Specify only if "Fail window isn't found" is OFF.
Specifies the number of seconds to wait before an error occurs.
Variables produced
WindowTitle
The title of the variable window is stored.
It is generated only when "Foreground window" is selected in the "Get window" acquisition.
AutomationWindow
The variable window.
