Substring in Text Functions Connector(Power Automate Cloud flows)
Similar to the expression function substring(), this action cuts out a portion of text by specifying a starting position and length.
This function is similar to the MID function in Excel.
How to use
Select the "Text Functions" connector when adding steps to the flow.
Select the "Substring" from the "Action" menu.
Set Parameters.
Cut out text from "Text" by the number of characters from the "Starting Position" to the "Length".
The beginning of the "Starting Position" is 0.
If "Length" is omitted, the result is cut out to the end of the text; if it is 0, the result is empty.
In the example of the capture, "BCD" is the result.
