Auto fill cells in Excel worksheet Action(Power Automate Desktop)
This is the auto-fill action.
How to use
First, specify the target Excel file in the Launch Excel Action or the Attach to Running Excel Action, then drag the "Auto fill cells in Excel worksheet" Action from "Excel.Advanced" onto the workspace.
Set parameters.
Parameters
Excel instance
Specify the target Excel file.
Specify the Variables produced for the Launch Excel Action or the Attach to running Excel Action.
Ranges format
Select the method for specifying the autofill target.
- Named cells
- Specific ranges
Because there is no worksheet specification, the active
worksheet will be the target.
If there are multiple worksheets, it is unclear which sheet is active.
Therefore, we recommend specifying the sheet in “Set active Excel worksheet”.
Named cells
Specify the source and destination of AutoFill using cell range names.
Specify the “Source cells name” and “Destination cells name”.
The “Destination cells name” must include the range of the “Source cells name”.
For example, if you want to auto-fill the cell range A1 to D6 into A7 to D18, set the cell range name as follows.
Parameter | Cell range |
---|---|
Source cells name | A1~D6 |
Destination cells name | A1~D18 |
Specific ranges
The source and destination of the input are specified by a sequential number starting from 1.
Start column/Start row
Specify the starting position.
Source end column / Source end row
Specifies the end position of the source.
Destination end column / Destination end row
Specifies the end position of the destination.
For example, to auto-fill the range of cells A1 to D6 into A7 to D18, specify as follows.
Parameter | Cell range |
---|---|
Start column | 1 |
Start row | 1 |
Source end column | 4 |
Source end row | 6 |
Destination end column | 4 |
Destination end row | 18 |
