Set color of cells in Excel worksheet Action(Power Automate Desktop)
This is an action that changes the color of the cells in the specified cell range.
This action was added in the August 2024 update.
How to use.
First, set up Launch Excel Action or Attach to running Excel and specify the target Excel file, and then.
Drag “Excel” under “Action” and “Set color of cells in Excel worksheet” under “Advanced”.
If you want to save the edited content, you need to open it with a non-read-only setting.
Set parameters.
The edited contents will not be reflected in the file as is.
If you wish to keep the edited content, you must save it using Save Excel Action or Close Excel Action at the end.
Parameters
Excel instance
Specify the Excel file.
Specify the Variables produced for the Launch Excel Action or the Attach to running Excel.
Set color of
Select how to specify the cell range for changing the cell color.
The parameters that can be specified additionally differ depending on the selection.
- Single cell
- Range of cells
- Named cells
As there is no sheet specified for this action, “Single Cell” and “Cell Range” will be applied to the active sheet.
If there are multiple sheets in the file, it is unclear which sheet is active.
Therefore, we recommend specifying the sheet in "Set active Excel worksheet Action".
Single cell
Changes the color of a single cell.
The cell position is specified by the “Start column” and “Start row”.
If both are set to 1, the A1 cell is cleared.
Range of cells
Changes the color of the specified cell range.
Specify not only the “Start column” and “Start row”, but also the “End row” and “End column”.
If you specify as follows, the colors of A1 to E21 will be changed.
Named cells
Specify the name of the cell range in the "Cells Name" field.
Color Format
Select the method for specifying cell colors.
- Names
- Hexadecimal value
Names
Select the cell color from the preset values.
Hexadecimal value
Specify the color code.
